NEW IBERIA, La. (AP) _ An Iberia Parish principal who was arrested in July on drug charges was arrested again for allegedly lying during the drug investigation. Thirty-eight-year-old Darius Sias, principal of the Alternative Center for Education in New Iberia, was firt arrested July 29. He was arrested again Tuesday for allegedly providing false information to detectives during the investigation. He was booked into the Iberia Parish Correctional Center on a $40,000 bond. Sias was still on administrative leave from his position after being arrested in July.
