A Haughton woman faces a charge of DWI after she crashed her car on Sunday. Angela Therese Dunn, 35, of the 800 block of Wells Road was arrested at a local hospital while being treated for a broken pelvis as a result of the accident, said Ed Baswell, spokesman for Bossier sheriff's office. Deputies searched her vehicle and found an open can of beer on the driver's side floorboard, and they smelled the odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath and person, Baswell said. She was booked into jail upon her released from the hospital.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator announced the promotions of six Caddo sheriff's deputies to the rank of corporal. The deputies and their assignments are: Gary Pace, patrol; Rodney Eaton, Caddo Correctional Center security; Lawrence Pierre, CCC booking; Lavonda' Hogan, CCC security; Darrell Smith, bailiffs section; and Scheree Page, CCC security.
