OUACHITA PARISH - A paid caretaker of a 9-year-old boy with cerebral palsy was arrested Monday, charged with leaving the child at home when the nurse scheduled to relieve her was late due to weather-related problems.

Shreveport police are investigating a late night shooting that sent one man to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
