A Shreveport woman was arrested today for stealing 99.750 gallons of diesel gasoline. Police say Jackie L. Clark, 22, presented the clerk with a credit card then pumped the $457.75 worth of gas and left the store without payment. Clark, of the 2800 block of W. Caperton, was booked in City Jail on a charge of theft of fuel. No bond has been set.

Shreveport firefighters are at the scene of a house fire in the 1900 block of Downing Street, near where it intersects with Bond Street. The call was made to 911 dispatchers at 9:17 a.m., and at the time eight fire units are on the scene. There are reports that a front bedroom of house is on fire. It's unknown at the time if the house was occupied at the time the blaze started. Return to this site later today as more information on this fire becomes available.
